Using the German word “passiert”—which can mean both “it has already happened, so it cannot be helped” and “processed” (in industrial context)  —this work reconstructs conspiracy theories surrounding suspicious urban development, where the timing of demolition and reconstruction appears questionable, alongside personal experiences. It fills these narratives with fragments of clues marked by various gaps discovered in the present.

Composed of a workshop and a video, the project collectively engages with the erasure of responsibility that occurs as events are remembered and processed, as well as with the implications of the linguistic passive voice. Participants dismantle texts they have written and solidify them into mass with their own hands, directly experiencing how unofficial or unrecorded experiences are diluted or transformed into distributable forms.

These kneaded masses accumulate in the exhibition space as a collective sculptural work titled ≪Masses≫.
